Where was Staffsergeant Clyde H. Nugent killed in action?

Phase: The North African Campaign

After the North African Campaign fighting had stopped, the 2nd Armored Division was prepairing for Operation HUSKY, the invasion of Sicily.
The Division was to provide the Armor for the assaulting troops and to be their floating reserve.

Staffsergeant Clyde H. Nugent was part of Company A that was attached to “Combat Command B” (CCB). In early May 1943 from Marrocco the CCB moved to Port Aux Poules, Algeria tanks by train and halftracks  and wheeled vehicles by road convoy, and reported at the Fifth Army Invasion Training Center (FAITC). The troops were trained in every phase of waterborne invasions. Loading vehicles, firing weapons from moving boats, assault and consolidating beachheads. On the 23rd of June there was a final inspection by King George the VI of England and General Eisenhouwer, ” the 2nd Armored Division and the 82nd Airborne Division were in splendid shape with fine discipline”. On july 6th the first LST’s went to Bizerte, Tunisia.

The period when Staffsergeant Clyde H. Nugent was Killed in Action was during an training and prepairing phase with no direct actions with the enemy. Unit now there is no information of what the cause was of his death. Possibly it was during a training phase with live ammunition or mineclearing actions. It is remarkable that on the same day Private Harry R Rothenberger was killed.
Was it at the same time and action, unfortunatly we can not tell.
